Biography
Previously a teacher of high school science and mathematics, in 1997 Ruth Grey-Smith was both ordained and married Neil Mathieson. She is currently a part-time chaplain at Trinity College Gawler River, as she undertakes doctoral studies in the Gospel of Matthew and explores the significance of the wedding clothes in the Parable of the King’s Wedding Feast.
Ruth’s areas of interest, apart from Biblical Studies, include Schools Ministry, Ethics and Mission, particularly in the expanding, northern suburbs of Adelaide (which have been home for Ruth, Neil and their two children for the last decade).
Ruth appreciates the opportunity to have learned from lecturers in Biblical Studies from Anglican, Baptist, Roman Catholic and Uniting Church traditions.
