Biography

Katrina was originally from the Northern Territory and grew up in the Red Centre town of Alice Springs.

She has lived and worked in Adelaide since 1991.  Since then Katrina has worked in various roles, including working at Arnott’s Limited for 13 years.  During this time she studied to become a librarian to fulfill a childhood love of libraries.  Katrina believes, “libraries not only provide a welcoming place for people to visit, but they also provide resources which empower people to grow through learning.”

Katrina has experience working in libraries, beginning her career in an Adelaide metropolitan public library. Prior to joining St Barnabas College,
she worked for several years as an academic librarian at another Adelaide based, tertiary Christian college. She also has been an active member of the Australian and New Zealand Theological Library Association and enjoys the supportive environment that comes from being involved with ANZTLA.

She lives in the Adelaide Hills on a hobby farm with her husband David, 45 ewes and 2 dachshund cross dogs which keep her amused and fit. To relax she enjoys reading and loves spending time growing vegetables as well as creating and maintaining her garden of native plants.

Katrina attends Our Lady of Mercy, Catholic Parish at Mt Barker.
